Kevin’s Meandering Thoughts | Write Throughout America: Avenue Sculpture-Impressed Poems

The Nationwide Writing Mission’s Write Throughout America venture stopped in South Dakota this week, and I’ve been slowly wanting over the prompts and sources. What caught my eye was the Sculpture Stroll in Sioux Falls, a set of fascinating artworks. I’ve used a number of for my morning poems over the previous couple of days. The hyperlinks result in the art work that impressed the phrases for every poem.

whose fingers
clench the reward
of discovery

whose eyes
drift in the direction of
an open sky

whose streets
soak up all of
the wanderers

whose kindness
by no means appears to
cross us by

Bending ears
inward, a cyclone
taking form
in armature
and concrete

we deal with the world
as one, frozen,
spoken, poets
like us, we glance
to search out magnificence
within the damaged

twisted
and curved
from backside on up
to the tippity high
with an iron tail
all bundled
in contained
exclamation
and no seen
connection,
solely empty ideas
to the appropriate and
empty ideas to
the left, for we fill in
the gaps with
creativeness
